Instructions
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F. Pat chicken dry with a paper towel and rub in seasoning on both sides of the chicken breasts.
Brush each chicken piece with a generous layer of BBQ sauce on top before cooking.
Place the chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 8 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Brush with more BBQ sauce if desired.
Notes
Homemade BBQ Dry Rub: If you don’t have a premade BBQ seasoning, mix together: 1 teaspoon smoked paprika, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon onion powder, ½ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon black pepper, and optional: ¼ teaspoon brown sugar or cayenne for extra sweetness or heat.
Cooking time may vary based on thickness. Use a meat thermometer for best results.
Add another layer of BBQ sauce after cooking for a sticky, saucy finish.
Avoid overcrowding the basket, cook in batches for even results if needed.
