These easy air fryer lamb meatballs are juicy in the middle, golden on the outside, and made with just a handful of simple ingredients. They’re great for tossing in wraps, grain bowls, or serving up as an easy weeknight dinner that still feels a little fancy.
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F and lightly spray the basket with oil or line it with parchment paper for easier cleanup.
In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, gyro seasoning, breadcrumbs, parsley, and egg. Mix just until combined, being careful not to overwork the mixture.
Use a cookie scoop or spoon to portion and roll the mixture into 1 ½-inch meatballs.
Arrange the meatballs in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they aren’t touching.
Air fry for 10-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the meatballs are golden brown and reach an internal temperature of 160°F.
Let them rest for 2 to 3 minutes before serving.
Notes
No gyro seasoning? Mix 1 teaspoon each dried oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of cumin and cinnamon to make your own.
Depending on the size of your meatballs, cooking time may vary slightly, so keep an eye on them toward the end.
Want to bake instead? You can cook these in a 400°F oven for 18 to 20 minutes until browned and cooked through.
Make ahead: Meatballs can be shaped up to 24 hours in advance and stored in the fridge before cooking.
To freeze: Freeze cooked or uncooked meatballs in a single layer, then transfer to a freezer bag. Reheat from frozen in the air fryer at 350°F.
