Ingredients

  • 6 cups Rice Chex cereal
  • ½ cup cookie butter
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Measure the Rice Chex cereal into a large mixing bowl and set aside.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the cookie butter and white chocolate chips. Microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring well between each, until smooth and fully melted.
  • Pour the warm cookie butter mixture over the cereal and gently fold until all the pieces are evenly coated. Take your time here to avoid crushing the cereal.
  • Transfer the coated cereal to a large zip-top bag or a bowl with a lid. Add the powdered sugar, seal, and gently shake until everything is evenly coated.
  • Spread the puppy chow out on parchment paper and let it cool completely before serving.

Notes

  • Using smooth cookie butter helps the coating melt evenly and stick better to the cereal.
  • This recipe is easy to double for parties, but coating in batches works best for even coverage.
  • Store cookie butter puppy chow in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days. For longer storage, freeze in a freezer-safe bag for up to 2 months and thaw at room temperature before serving.
