Add the ketchup, cranberry sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, bourbon, molasses, and dry rub to a medium saucepan.
Warm over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture begins to bubble gently.
Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring often, until the sauce thickens slightly and becomes glossy.
Taste and adjust sweetness, tang, or spice as needed.
Remove from heat and let cool before transferring to a jar.
This recipe makes about 2 cups of sauce and can easily be doubled if needed.
