- 1.75 lbs frozen meatballs beef or turkey
- 1 ½ cups barbecue sauce
- 1 cup cranberry sauce whole berry or jellied
Add the barbecue sauce and cranberry sauce to a saucepan and warm over medium heat, stirring until the mixture is smooth and glossy. Set aside.
Place the frozen meatballs in your slow cooker.
Pour the warm sauce over the meatballs and stir gently so everything is coated.
Cover and cook on high for 2 to 3 hours or on low for 4 hours, stirring once or twice as the meatballs heat through.
Once everything is hot and saucy, switch the slow cooker to warm until serving.
- Whole berry cranberry sauce gives you brighter pops of fruit, while jellied cranberry sauce melts into a smooth glaze that coats evenly.
- A splash of water or apple juice can loosen the sauce if it thickens while the meatballs sit on warm.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
