Ingredients

  • 1.75 lbs frozen meatballs beef or turkey
  • 1 ½ cups barbecue sauce
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce whole berry or jellied

Instructions

  • Add the barbecue sauce and cranberry sauce to a saucepan and warm over medium heat, stirring until the mixture is smooth and glossy. Set aside.
  • Place the frozen meatballs in your slow cooker.
  • Pour the warm sauce over the meatballs and stir gently so everything is coated.
  • Cover and cook on high for 2 to 3 hours or on low for 4 hours, stirring once or twice as the meatballs heat through.
  • Once everything is hot and saucy, switch the slow cooker to warm until serving.

Notes

  • Whole berry cranberry sauce gives you brighter pops of fruit, while jellied cranberry sauce melts into a smooth glaze that coats evenly.
  • A splash of water or apple juice can loosen the sauce if it thickens while the meatballs sit on warm.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
