Easy Jalapeno Peach Salsa

Jessie Winstead
This jalapeno peach salsa is fresh, sweet, spicy, and perfect for summer cookouts, BBQs, picnics, and easy weeknight dinners. Serve it with chips, spoon it over grilled chicken, add it to tacos, or build a bowl with cilantro lime rice.

Ingredients

  • 3 medium fresh peaches pitted and diced
  • 1-2 jalapenos finely diced, seeds removed for less heat
  • ¼ cup red onion finely diced
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro chopped
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 lime juiced and zested
  • ½ teaspoon salt plus more to taste
  • teaspoon black pepper plus more to taste

Instructions

  • Add all the ingredients to a large bowl. Gently stir everything together until well combined, being careful not to mash the peaches.
  • Taste and adjust with more lime juice, salt, or jalapeno if needed. I like to let the salsa sit for 10 to 15 minutes before serving so the flavors can come together.

Notes

  • Use ripe but firm peaches for the best texture.
  • For mild salsa, remove the seeds and membrane from the jalapeno. For spicier salsa, leave in some jalapeno seeds or add a second jalapeno.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
