This sweet and smoky peach BBQ sauce comes together in just 15 minutes with simple pantry staples and a Southern twist. It’s perfect for grilling season, weeknight dinners, or dipping just about anything.
Add all ingredients to a medium saucepan: ketchup, peach preserves, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, whiskey, molasses, and BBQ seasoning.
Whisk well to combine, then place over medium heat.
Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly.
Remove from heat and let cool completely. The sauce will thicken more as it cools.
Transfer to a jar or airtight container and store in the fridge.
Notes
This recipe makes 2 cups of sauce (2 tbsp/serving).
Sauce can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 10 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
Taste and adjust as needed! Add more vinegar for tang, more sugar for sweetness, or a dash of cayenne for spice. For a smoother texture, you can blend the sauce before storing.
