Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1 apple cored and diced (Honey Crisp, Gala)
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoon rolled oats
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1 cup nonfat vanilla yogurt

Instructions

  • Melt butter in a small skillet over medium heat.
  • Add diced apple, oats, cinnamon, nutmeg, and maple syrup. Stir and cook for 3–5 minutes, until the apples soften and oats lightly toast.
  • Spoon yogurt into a bowl.
  • Top with the warm apple mixture and a pinch of extra cinnamon if desired.

Notes

  • For a dairy-free option, use coconut oil and a plant-based yogurt alternative.
  • Try adding crushed graham crackers or chopped pecans for a pie-like crunch.
  • Store leftover apples in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat gently before serving. Yogurt keeps separately for 5 days.
