1 teaspoon butter 1 apple cored and diced (Honey Crisp, Gala) 1 tablespoon maple syrup 2 tablespoon rolled oats ¼ teaspoon cinnamon ⅛ teaspoon of nutmeg 1 cup nonfat vanilla yogurt
Melt butter in a small skillet over medium heat.
Add diced apple, oats, cinnamon, nutmeg, and maple syrup. Stir and cook for 3–5 minutes, until the apples soften and oats lightly toast.
Spoon yogurt into a bowl.
Top with the warm apple mixture and a pinch of extra cinnamon if desired.
For a dairy-free option, use coconut oil and a plant-based yogurt alternative.
Try adding crushed graham crackers or chopped pecans for a pie-like crunch.
Store leftover apples in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat gently before serving. Yogurt keeps separately for 5 days.
