1 cup balsamic vinegar ½ tablespoon honey ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
Combine balsamic vinegar, honey, and red pepper flakes in a small saucepan.
Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat to low. Simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the glaze coats the back of a spoon.
Let it cool slightly. It will continue to thicken as it cools.
Transfer to a small jar and use immediately or store in the fridge.
This recipe makes about ⅓-1/2 cup (about 1 tbsp/serving), so feel free to make a double batch if needed.
If the glaze becomes too thick after chilling, stir in a small splash of warm water to loosen it up.
For a quick salad dressing, whisk with olive oil and a bit of Dijon mustard.
You can adjust the spice level by increasing or decreasing the red pepper flakes.
